SCC members UKYCC were 'throwing shapes' in Parliament Square on Monday (12th Oct), at their mass flashmob dance that followed the weekend's successful Powershift event.
While Greenpeace protestors watched from the roof of Parliament, a slow trickle of dancers fed into the square, followed by a huge influx of young people all dancing until there were approximately 400 people packed into the square all dancing as a (fairly) coordinated mass!
After the two days learning and making new friends at Powershift, everyone was ready for a big headline grabbing action to draw attention to climate change, and that's just what they got! The event was covered by various media outlets, including a Guardian video and article.
