In the run up to, and during, the first week of the 2011 UN Climate talks in Durban, South Africa, grassroots groups connected with each other and with the climate talks at African-themed events around the UK.

And we connected with the Energy and Climate Minister in an online debate just before he headed to the talks.

Online debate with Energy & Climate Minister

We held an online debate with Chris Huhne, Energy & Climate Minister took place on Thursday 1st December, just before he headed out to Durban.

Over 1000 people tuned in to watch the debate and more than 200 questions were submitted. Chris Huhne answered questions on issues including: the chances of a global deal, climate finance for developing countries, tar sands and George Osborne's Autumn statement.
