Ecocide: the Missing 5th Crime Against Peace

Forum on Ecocide, Culture and Peace

In April 2010, Polly Higgins, international lawyer and award-winning author of Eradicating Ecocide, proposed to the UN Law Commission that a law of Ecocide stand alongside genocide as an International Crime Against Peace. 

Since then, Polly's work has catalysed support and brought governments, faith leaders and business together. Polly shall be speaking about her journey and about who is speaking out as a voice for the earth.  More information about the Ecocide initiative at www.endecocide.eu.
