Young Friends of the Earth Scotland Network Gathering

Are you aged 18-30 and living in Scotland? Are you passionate about campaigning for social and environmental justice? Young Friends of the Earth Scotland (YFoES) would like to invite you to our first official meeting.

This event follows from the Young Friends of the Earth Europe Summer Camp, hosted earlier this year in Angus, where it was decided that a youth network for activists should be established in Scotland. YFoES will join an international grassroots network of young people and youth organisations working collectively for social and environmental justice. Being part of this group offers the opportunity to meet activists from all over Europe at events such as the Network Gathering and Summer Camp.

So whether you are new to campaigning or already involved in activism in your own community, we would value your input to shape how this network will work in practice.

The day will include sharing experiences of taking action for people, the planet and climate and exploring local issues we’re involved with or aware of. There will also be planning sessions on getting the network established and how we can build campaigns and actions together. Throughout the day there will be plenty of opportunity to share, learn and make new friends.

Friends of the Earth want to make sure people from all over Scotland can join, so if the cost of travel or accommodation could affect your participation, please get in touch with Alan Munro:
