Stop Climate Chaos

What is a constituency coordinator expected to do?

If you sign up to be a constituency coordinator you will play a key role in arranging the lobby in your area: getting in touch with your MP and other supporters in your area to arrange the meeting.

Don’t worry if this sounds like something you haven’t done before - we will provide you with all the information and support you need.

You'll be sent a lobby pack (coming soon) which will explain how you can arrange a meeting with your MP and give you tips on what to say to them on the day.

The key things you'll need to do are:

  • Liaise with your MP to set a date and time
  • Be the contact person on the website. This will mean allowing your e-mail address to be shown so that others can get in touch. You will be able to remove yourself from the website whenever you want!
  • Communicate and coordinate with others who sign up in your constituency
  • Keep us updated with the plans in your constituency
  • If you are able to: think about local media opportunities and local promotion of the lobby (we will provide more information soon about how to get media attention)

You can sign up to become a constituency coordinator by adding your details to the web map, which displays your contact information and details of any planned events, and enables you to communicate with others in your constituency that want to take part.
