Simpol UK

Simpol UK

The International Simultaneous Policy Organisation is a movement of world citizens who use their votes to drive the politicians of all nations to simultaneously implement the Simultaneous Policy (Simpol), a range of citizen-designed measures to bring about economic justice, environmental security and world peace. With simultaneous implementation, no nation suffers any first-mover competitive disadvantage so politicians of all parties risk nothing if they support Simpol. By "adopting" Simpol, citizens pledge to vote in future elections for ANY politician or party - within reason - that pledges to implement it.

spokes

Spokes

Spokes is a voluntary organisation with 1200 members, mainly in Edinburgh and Lothian, aiming to promote cycling for everyday transport, and to persuade councils and government to do the same. Activities include lobbying, public meetings, traffic counts, stalls, bike rides, and bike maps. Cycle use has grown from 1% of commuter trips when Spokes began to 7% now. A success has been Edinburgh Council allocating 5% of its transport budget to cycling, rising by 1% annually till the next election. A failure is that the Scottish Government still allocates under 1% of its transport budget to cycling.
SPOKES East Kent Cycle Campaign

SPOKES South Kent Cycling Campaign

An active campaign group set up to encourage cycling and publicise its benefits. We are based in the East Kent area of the UK but have an interest in better conditions for cyclists everywhere. We also organise a full programme of rides and cycling events in and around Kent to be enjoyed by ordinary people.
