Route 62

National Route 62National Route 62 of the National Cycle Network will link Glasson just south of Lancaster with Selby in Yorkshire via Blackpool, Preston, Southport, Stockport and Doncaster.

Open Sections: The main part of National Route 62 forms the Trans Pennine Trail between Southport and Selby. This is a separately funded and managed project, co-ordinated out of Barnsley MBC.

The route is open and signed between Blackpool and Preston on a mixture of seafront promenade and minor roads.

Southport to Penistone forms the Trans Pennine Trail (west) cycle route.

Penistone to Selby is a part of the Trans Pennine Trail (east) cycle route.
