Organise an 'Arctic Vigil' where you are

The precipitate crash in summer arctic sea ice that we are now witnessing is a momentous and awesome event, the consequences  of which are enormous and terrifying.  (see the other posts on this page)

To bear witness to this and communicate its significance to others you could organise an "Arctic Vigil"  in your own town or area.

This was originally the idea of Kirklees CCC are they are organised a vigil on the evening of Friday September 28th . See more about their event  here.  You could organise a vigil in your area ....Kirklees CCC have compiled a 'pack' of advice on how you could do it - see here.

To find out more about what they did at Kirklees you can also email Tim at  kirkleesccc@hotmail.co.uk. You could also let him (and us at info@campaigncc.org) know about anything you do manage to organise - and can send us any pictures etc....for the website.

There is a leaflet that you could use (if you like it !) to get the message across to the public here.
