Lots of people say they'd like to walk into town and leave their car behind, but often can't if they need to do a big shop or carry something heavy; well, we have the answer.
For the first three weeks in December we’re offering free shopping deliveries for the residents of Bradford on Avon, in the electric Renault Kangoo ZE van pictured above. Platinum Renault Trowbridge have kindly lent it to us and our volunteers will be running deliveries from town, as follows:
-
Mondays to Saturdays.
-
Collecting in the centre of town between 11.00 and 1.00
-
Delivering in the afternoon.
-
The participating shops will have full details.
14 town centre shops have already agreed to participate so come and do your shopping in town and we’ll deliver it – free, within the town boundaries! The shops are:
Fetch; Christine's Sustainable Supermarket; Piha; Tillions; Wrap; Butlers Quayside Butchers; Elise; Made in BoA; Ex Libris; The Olive Tree; Karen's Fruit and Veg; Footloose; Our Green Room and Growing Needs. We're also working with BoACA (BoA Community Agriculture) to deliver their veg boxes.
Other shops may join the scheme once we've started; so, watch this space.
If you know of someone who really could use this service please let them know.
We think Bradford on Avon is a perfect place for zero-emission electric vehicles, and we’d like to make the town a UK leader in cleaner transport. Just imagine, a town centre with fewer fumes, less noise… so, we’ve got lots planned for next year.

Christmas Tree Festival in Holy Trinity Church, Tues. 4th - Sun. 9th December
CFB and BoA Freegle are sharing a tree - one we have obtained through Freegle and with very low energy LED lights on. During the festival, in true Freegle (& Christmas) spirit, please bring along any unwanted tree decorations and, if you see one you like that's already on the tree, please feel free to take it home and use it on your own tree. But ..... please don't leave our tree bare!!
