Reaction to Government announcement on England's forests

We are very pleased today to see Government retaining the Independent Panel on Forestry's vision to 'develop a new woodland culture and a resilient forestry and woodland sector' and its recognition of the importance of woodland expansion 'to achieve great economic, social and environmental benefits'. We would have liked to see clearer conclusions on some aspects but acknowledge there is more to come and stakeholder involvement will be crucial. Read more...
