Last Saturday, more than 10,000 of us in more than 280 cities came
together in a declaration of love for the Arctic. Thousands of volunteers, all around the world, speaking with one voice to send a clear message
to politicians: the Arctic belongs to everyone.
Before I got involved in my local Greenpeace group, I remember thinking, am I the
only person who cares about this? Today, I know that I'm part of an
unstoppable movement to protect the planet from greed.
Greenpeace is founded in the passion and dedication of volunteers. Real people taking real actions to help solve the biggest problems facing the world. Now, the whole world is feeling the affects of what's happening in the Arctic and time is short. But when we come together, we show the world that we can achieve
Last Saturday, at more than 25 events across the UK, volunteers helped raise
awareness of the threats to the Arctic, talking to members of the
public, taking photographs and making giant human banners that spelt out
“I ♥ Arctic”.The day culminated in a massive effort from volunteers and donated equipment that saw the Arctic come to life in London - testament to the collective creativity of passionate people.

angles, which is why real conversations matter now more than ever. When
you’re campaigning for something you believe in you genuinely come away
from it at the end of the day feeling that you’ve made a difference.
It takes more than money, petitions and emails to stop the most powerful companies in the world. Every action helps, but nothing beats the collective action of dedicated people on the ground. And that's why
