New climate package looks promising

**Interim comment – full response after Ministeral statement at 14.30**

Commenting on today’s announcement from the Scottish Government on the latest climate emission figures, Gina Hanrahan from Stop Climate Chaos Scotland said [1]:

“It’s been a difficult start to the implementation of the Climate Change Act, but the Scottish Government’s package of new measures across different sectors such as energy efficiency, low carbon travel and district heating looks promising.

“We look forward to further details being announced later today, but so far this looks like a sign of serious intent.”
