Southern Connections

During 2012, groups across the South of England lobbied their MPs on issues from the Rio Summit to green jobs and delivering on the Climate Act.

One of our highlights was seeing Ed Davey MP (Energy and Climate Minister) support our Rio Declaration at our public meeting in Kingston.

This year we're planning a training day in London and possibly a few creative events for some of our priority MPs.

And right now we're supporting groups holding Energy We Can All Afford public meetings with their MPs, and we’re looking forward to seeing how Ed Davey and Greg Barker amongst others respond to calls for a brighter energy future. See if an event is planned near you.

A few of the areas where we're looking to make new contacts includes:
  • Surrey Heath
  • Welwyn and Hatfield
  • Putney
  • Dagenham and Rainham
  • Yeovil

If you're looking to Get Connected in London and the South East, come along to our Bright Ideas training day in April!

If you'd like to know more, to get involved or be introduced to other groups working on climate change in your area contact our Network Developer, Callie
