On Yer Bike - SCCS event outside Scottish Government offices to highlight cuts to cycling and walking budget

Over 350 people, most of them on their bikes, gathered outside the office of the Scottish Government on Wednesday 11th January to urge Scottish Ministers to increase funding for cycling and walking instead of funding expensive road-building programmes that will increase Scotland’s carbon footprint.

In the run up and during the first week of the UN Climate talks in Durban, South Africa, grassroots groups connected with each other and with the climate talks at African-themed events around the UK.

Speak Out for Climate Justice

Bearing Witness event, 1st October

Thanks to all those who came to Manchester on Saturday 1st October - the hottest October day on record - to speak out for climate justice ahead of the Conservative Party Conference.

Scottish elections 2011

Thanks to everyone who joined us for the first ever live Climate Day Election Debate on Wednesday 13th April.

Over 300 people took part in the debate during the evening, when the polticial parties answered your climate change questions. You can watch, and post your comments on, a recording of the debate online now (clips are broken down by question, so you can navigate straight to the subjects that matter most to you).

The African Climate Connection is coming…

Canterbury Big Climate Reconnection Bike ride

26 November - 3 December

During the first week of the UN Climate talks in Durban, South Africa at the end of November, grassroots groups will connect with each other and with the climate talks at African-themed events around the UK.

This will be a great chance to build local connections and show MPs the strength of local concern about climate change.
