Grassroots Network Developer Vacancy (part time, paid)
Since Autumn 2010, the Stop Climate Chaos Coalition (SCC) has been working with its member organisations to encourage supporters to connect with each other locally and lobby MPs as part of ‘climate connections'. Following on from this work, SCC has developed a strategy to build up targeted grassroots pressure in key MP constituencies on an ongoing basis.
We are seeking an experienced Network Developer to help develop and deliver this strategy.
Apply by: 10am Monday 20th February
Do you know the climate campaigning scene in your area? Are you happy talking to people, publicising events and networking with a range of local organisations? Do you want experience working with many of the UK’s major organisations to mobilise activists?
The Stop Climate Chaos Coalition is working towards a week of action during the Rio+20 earth summit in June 2012, building on local networks developed during the African Climate Connection last Autumn, and two previous Climate Connections in 2010 and 11. During the international summit in Rio, 20 years on from the original Earth Summit in 1992, local networks in the UK will connect with each other to organise exciting events in their areas and get new people involved in calling for a more sustainable future.
We are looking for two new mobilisers to help develop the local campaigning networks that have been formed over the past two years.
Applications still open for London and Wales mobilisers
