Stop Climate Chaos

The African Climate Connection is coming…

Canterbury Big Climate Reconnection Bike ride

26 November - 3 December

During the first week of the UN Climate talks in Durban, South Africa at the end of November, grassroots groups will connect with each other and with the climate talks at African-themed events around the UK.

This will be a great chance to build local connections and show MPs the strength of local concern about climate change.

Toolkit on its way

We’ll have a fancy new web page and a toolkit with some suggestions and lots of resources ready in the last week of September to help you hold exciting African-themed events and get others in your communities involved.

To help you design these events we’ll be providing:

  • Short video updates from the talks, plus an introduction to the climate talks
  • Climate-film suggestions
  • Low carbon African recipes
  • Climate photos as slides or printed for a photo exhibit

Check back here in the last week of September for the toolkit and to sign up.

Get going!

But there’s no need to wait! Why not get going planning your event and getting others in your area on board in the meantime?

Don’t forget to contact your nearest mobiliser for support - and to let them know what you’re planning!

Or sign up and find out what's going on near you on the local connections map.
